The last month and a half (or more), I haven’t had regular opportunities to write as much as I’d like. I did finish my fairytale retelling at the beginning of the craziness. I thought this week would bring more stability, but so many things have come up to take over our evenings. Sometimes it feels the moment I sit down to write, it’s already time to head to bed.

That said, I think I’m 17 or 18K into my Regency story by now. Little insights keep popping into my mind on how to make this intricate plot work, which I’m grateful for. I always find it funny when that happens. I’ll be taking the laundry upstairs, an idea pops into my mind, and 10 minutes later I realize I’ve been standing at the bottom of the stairs and staring at nothing. 😆

In the next week I’ll be tackling the assembly! 😊 I’m very excited about it. This is where the girl and guy formally meet. I’ll also be hashing out a pleasure garden scene with the other MC, which needs some more research.

On a different note, I bought fabric to make a Regency dress for Halloween. I’m so excited! I’ll probably split some of nap time to work on it between now and October. Good thing I still have nighttime strictly for writing.
